Receh.in - Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP), a subsidiary of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT), has started supplying ready-mix concrete for the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) project in Penajam, East Kalimantan.
Sugiharto, WSBP's Director of Operations, said that in this IKN project, the company has been selected to supply ready-mix (grades Fc 10-Fc 50 and Fs 45) for the construction of the Presidential Palace, IKN I's working road/logistics, and the Sepaku Ring Segment 4. WSBP becomes the first subsidiary of the state-owned enterprise to supply ready-mix concrete in IKN with a capacity of 90m3/hour.
"We target the completion of the supply in May 2023," Sugiharto said in his statement on Monday (30/1).
To support the acceleration of the completion target, WSBP has deployed high-quality ready-mix production from the Sepaku Batching Plant (BP) with a production volume of 4,157 m3 and will continue to increase. To date, the supply of ready-mix for the construction of the Presidential Palace, the IKN working road/logistics, and the Sepaku Ring Segment 4 has been gradually carried out.
"WSBP is confident that the ready-mix product, which has been tested and of high quality, will result in strong and durable buildings," said Sugiharto.
The acquisition of the IKN project is a fresh breeze for WSBP to book an increase in contract value. WSBP targets to secure new contracts from IKN projects, especially focusing on tenders for infrastructure and building projects.
"The projects in the IKN area are in the company's target pipeline. The company will focus on tenders for infrastructure and building projects," he continued.
To achieve this target, WSBP will collaborate with the parent company for all projects in the IKN area, synergize with strategic partners such as other state-owned enterprises, have a team for preparation of IKN project tenders, and other preparations related to licensing.
WSBP has various high-quality precast and ready-mix products to supply infrastructure projects in the IKN, such as girders, spun piles, ready-mix, and other products. WSBP also has various product innovations such as a 1.2-meter diameter spun pile, SPrigWP (Waskita Precast Rigid Reinforcement System), Rel 1067 and 1435 Road Bearings, and concrete power poles.
For information, in 2023 WSBP targets a growth in business revenue of over 20% compared to the 2022 achievement. Meanwhile, the value of new contracts is expected to grow more than 50% so that the total managed contracts will grow by about 4% to 5%.
"The target for the acquisition of new contract values is mainly from non-Waskita Group projects more than 60% and the rest is from the Waskita Group internal," he concluded.
