Receh.in - Axiata Investments (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd (AII) has reportedly exercised all of its rights for the capital increase through the rights issue carried out by PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL).
According to the Central Securities Depository of Indonesia (KSEI), as of December 20, 2022, AII holds 8,037,176,856 EXCL shares, an increase of 1,477,929,593 shares from the previous day's total of 6,559,247,263 shares. This increase in ownership is part of the implementation of XL Axiata's rights issue at a price of IDR 2,080 per share, totaling IDR 3.07 trillion.
EXCL is currently conducting a rights issue with the implementation of existing shareholders' rights beginning on December 20, 2022. The company is issuing 2,403,755,889 new shares, equivalent to 18.31% of the company's fully paid-up and issued capital after this rights issue, with a nominal value of IDR 100 per share. The implementation price is IDR 2,080, bringing the total funds received by EXCL to IDR 4.99 trillion.
AII acts as a standby buyer and is required to purchase all remaining new shares. In addition, AII stated that as the main shareholder and owner of 6,559,247,263 shares in the company, it will exercise all of its rights in this rights issue, totaling IDR 3.07 trillion or 1,477,929,593 shares, and in its capacity as a standby buyer, will also purchase any remaining unallocated new shares, up to a maximum of IDR 1.92 trillion or up to a maximum of 925,826,296 shares.
